The Moto3 class is the entry-level category in the FIM MotoGP World Championship, designed for young and developing riders. It is the smallest of the three classes, featuring machines with 250cc, 4-stroke engines. The class serves as a stepping stone for riders aiming to progress to the higher Moto2 and MotoGP levels.

The Moto3 championship consists of 18–20 rounds, held on tracks around the world, with races taking place on Sundays after qualifying. Riders compete for both the Riders’ and Constructors’ Championships, with the top finishers often advancing to Moto2 or MotoGP, making Moto3 a key development ground for future stars of the sport. The class has produced numerous successful riders, including world champions such as Marc Márquez and Joan Mir, as well as current top competitors.

The racing in Moto3 is characterized by close competition and frequent position changes, with many riders often within a few seconds of each other, leading to a high level of unpredictability and excitement.
