THE BIKES
2026 Moto2: Triumph 765 triple, spec ECU, no traction control, no anti-wheelie (as in the real class). The three chassis share the spec parts (engine, gearbox, Brembo brakes, Pirelli tyres, FCC slipper clutch). What differs between them is what is documented about each construction. The differences are of the order of the real ones: tenths, not seconds.
WHAT IS INSIDE (shared by the three)
- ENGINE: Triumph 765 race unit, 141 hp at 13 000 rpm, 85.5 N.m at 10 500-11 000, cut at 14 400, real idle 2750-2900. Engine braking computed from engine friction and pumping.
- GEARBOX: close-ratio race set 2.200 / 1.750 / 1.500 / 1.350 / 1.238 / 1.143, primary 46/85, final 15/44. Quickshifter and auto-blipper.
- ELECTRONICS: engine-brake control in 4 positions. 0 = most engine braking (ECU off), 1 = default, 3 = least.
- CLUTCH: FCC slipper, ramp angle 30-55 deg in the garage, default 45 (the FCC standard).
- BRAKES: Brembo, 290 mm front discs with 4-piston calipers, 218 mm rear.
- SUSPENSION: Ohlins FGR fork (130 mm) and TTX36 shock (65 mm), 11.2 N/mm per fork leg and 115 N/mm at the shock.
- AERO: drag calibrated on measured top speed against real Moto2 speed-trap figures.
- MASS: 143 kg dry, 217 kg with a 75 kg rider and 3 L of fuel (the FIM minimum). Built as a component model per chassis: engine, frame, tank, rider and so on, each with its own mass and position.
- GEOMETRY: published figures, about 104 mm trail, about 1382 mm wheelbase, 23.5 deg rake (Kalex, Boscoscuro) and 24.0 deg (Forward). The garage shows the rake about 1.2 deg lower than the effective one.
TYRES: PIRELLI (Parc Ferme model)
Front 125/70 R17 (SC1 soft, SC2 medium), rear 200/65 R17 (SCX supersoft, SC0 soft, SC1 medium), rain SCR.
Real carcass stiffness from the Padova motorcycle-tyre measurements; real wheel masses (8.3 / 12.3 kg with the brake hardware); temperature windows from in-game readouts; wear tuned for a race on the softs.
- Cornering stiffness follows the load, as on a real tyre: no “solid” tyre when it is unloaded over crests and bumps, so they “have air”. The front keeps enough stiffness when it goes light under hard acceleration.
- The front’s self-aligning effect (pneumatic trail) no longer grows with load without limit. The bar no longer kicks every time a light front lands.
- A sliding rear keeps side grip and drive as it steps out. Slides grow progressively and can be held on the throttle instead of running away.
- All 45 keys the game reads are written explicitly, so none is left on a hidden default.
STILL OPEN (my personal opinion)
- The speed at which the bike rolls over on its axis still has to find its balance.
- There is too much grip on both wheels. I am keeping it for now to make the bike a little easier to ride, but it is open to review.
