ABOUT

The Misano World Circuit, officially known as Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli or Misano Circuit Sic 58 (formerly Circuito Internazionale Santa Monica Misano until 2006), is a motorsport track situated near the town of Misano Adriatico in the Santa Monica-Cella area of the Rimini province. Originally designed in 1969 with a length of 3.488 km (2.167 mi), it held its first race in 1972. The circuit was extended in 1993 to 4.064 km (2.525 mi).

Since 2007, it has hosted the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix as part of the MotoGP World Championship. In 2012, the circuit was renamed in honor of Marco Simoncelli, a MotoGP rider who passed away in 2011.
